Continuing our Ministry

The arrival of COVID-19 has resulted in the suspension of worship services and other events and meetings at St. Mark’s. Yet we still need to continue our ministry and pay our bills.

To continue our ministry, “virtual” services are being established and many of St. Mark’s groups are continuing to meet online through emails and video conference calls. The wardens are also developing a “telephone tree” to keep in touch with our parishioners, particularly those without computer access. Our Interim Priest, Sue Beare can always be contacted at 613 331 0483.

To continue to pay our bills, all donations during this time of uncertainty are enormously appreciated, particularly as we still seek to proceed with the construction of the accessibility ramp. We are so grateful for those who already donate regularly through Pre-Authorised Givings (PAG). Perhaps now is an opportune time for other parish member to also consider moving their offerings to the PAG system. Our Envelope Secretary, Heather Grimshaw, is St. Mark’s liaison person between our parish and the Diocesan office and can effect this change for you with complete confidentiality. No one else will have access to PAG information. Heather can be contacted at heatherg@kingston.net, or message at 613-540-4018 (Cell), or by telephone at 613-549-2500. All it takes is a phone call to her to provide your information and she will connect to the Diocese to set this system in place for you. The Diocese has requested that only one person of the parish be the contact person for PAG.

For those who still prefer the weekly offerings via envelope givings, cheques would still be gratefully received by mail at St. Mark’s Anglican Church, 268 Main Street, Kingston, Ont. K7K 6W4.

Donations can also be made online through CanadaHelps at: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/st-marks-anglican-church-barriefield.

Donations can also be made online directly, or through CanadaHelps, to other charities we support such as:

Thank you for your consideration of the above. Take every care and keep well.

Blessings to all.
