Wardens Weekly Message

A MESSAGE FROM THE WARDENS FOR THE WEEK OF 18 MAY 2020

Dear Members and Friends of St. Mark’s Church in Barriefield,

We are all getting restless and anxious to be able to greet each other in our beautiful ‘church on the hill’. When we finally get the word to open for service, which, we’re afraid will be some time yet, let us remember our dress code for such gatherings:

For now let us pray for our safety and security and those who are working to keep others safe, feeding those who are vulnerable, helping others with chores when we can, lending financial support to institutions and organizations that are keeping our community viable during this pandemic.

God of all healing, who called the light to shine in the darkness at creation and in whose eternal light there is no darkness at all, be yourself a light of hope to those who dwell in darkness. Be a support to the fearful, a listener to the lonely, a purpose to those in despair, that amongst the confusions and struggles of this world they would find the path that leads to the fullness of life, and joy, and peace, in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We are grateful for the support you share with us to keep our church up-to-date in paying our expenses. To make a contribution, please make your cheque out to:

St. Mark’s Church and mailed to 268 Main Street, Kingston ON K7K 6W4.
