PWRDF in the Diocese of Ontario has launched a fundraising campaign in the month of May called ‘Sing for Ukraine!’. We are urging Anglicans to use their voices to help support relief efforts for refugees in Ukraine.

On Sunday, May 22, the congregation of St. Mark's will have the honor of taking part in “Sing for Ukraine."  We will use our voices to help support relief efforts for refugees in Ukraine. Our choir will lead us in singing a favourite hymn which will be recorded and submitted to the Diocese by May 27th.  The compilation of parish videos will be available to view on Pentecost Sunday (June 5). More details will  be announced in church this coming Sunday.

According to the latest assessment by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), there are a projected 8.3 million refugees expected to flee Ukraine as the conflict continues. This from a country with a total population of just over 40 million people. Around 5.2 million refugees have already left Ukraine with another 7.7 million people internally displaced.

On June 5th, you will have the opportunity to make a donation through our PWRDF pew envelopes or through  this online donation page to support the PWRDF partners on the ground in Ukraine: ACT Alliance and HelpAge International.
