During our 8:30 service, Rev. John Hounsell-Drover will share a series of reflections to explore the historical and theological place and context of the Canadian Book of Common Prayer (1962) from the perspective of 21st Century Canadian Christians.

This series will explore the BCP in multiple contexts:

  • With relation to previous versions of Common Prayer and other significant documents…
  • With relation to the theological contexts within which specific parts were written and edited…
  • With relation to the key historical figures whose words and themes are captured within the text…
  • With relation to the development of the Anglican Church of Canada as part of the Anglican Communion, out of its roots in the Church of England…

The reflections will be available on our Parish Blog (https://stmarksbarriefield.com/blog) the respective following Monday.
