Message from the Rector
To the Faith Family of St. Mark’s: This is a quick note to keep you informed of what is happening in the wider Church. As many of you are aware, this past Saturday our Diocese met to elect a new Bishop. Subsequent to our electoral Synod, an allegation has been made against the successful candidate. As this allegation is investigated the candidate is inhibited from the responsibilities of a Bishop. This is an administrative step taken whenever an investigation is warranted. This news may be difficult for some in our Diocese. There are some who are angry, hurt, confused, and disillusioned by this latest evolution in the life of the Church. If you have any concerns, questions, or need to talk about this ongoing situation please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I ask for your prayers of peace, grace and for God’s will to be done.
