Last Week for Donations!

This year, we will be providing gift cards for food and toys to 11 needy families in Kingston.

Your generous donations are always greatly appreciated by the MEA Centre (formerly Kingston Pregnancy Care Centre) and the recipients.

We pray that you will support our campaign to make this Christmas a special one for those families.  Please make your cheque payable to St. Mark's Church and ensure that you mention "MEA Christmas Hampers" on the memo line.  Special Envelopes will be provided for Christmas Hamper donations.

Donations can also be made online through the Button below.  Please select Mission & Outreach on the pull down menu and include "MEA Christmas Hampers" on the memo line.

Thanks very much from the Mission and Outreach Team.

Hanging of the Greens

Hanging of the Greens

Sunday, December 7,

On Sunday, December 7 we will “hang the greens” during our 10:30 worship service.  It will be an opportunity for the congregation to help prepare our worship space for the Coming of Christ.  There are a few things you can bring along:  Christmas Tree ornaments and/or a red poinsettia.  If you can provide several ornaments that would be really great!  Any poinsettia’s brought and used will be left in the Church until Epiphany.

Can you help get the church ready this Saturday, December 6?  If so, drop by the church at 11:00 am.

Any questions, please speak to Rev. Sandra!

Longest Night Service

Longest Night Service

Wednesday, December 17

Plan to join us on Wednesday, December 17 at 7:00 pm for our Longest Night Service.  A time and space for quiet music, prayer and reflection.

This gathering is for any who find the holiday season challenging:

  • for those who carry pain and loss juxtaposed with celebration;
  • for those who are unsettled by bright lights, loud music, and over-activity;
  •  for those who are exhausted by the festive and often hectic atmosphere;
  • for those who find a compelled busyness has overshadowed a holy season
  • or overwhelmed any simple joy it might bring.
