The below was written by husband and wife, Denis and Sarah, who are here in their hometown of Kingston for the summer. You are warmly invited to meet them during Sunday’s ‘coffee hour’ , after the 10:30 am service, as they share with you their calling to proclaim Christ in Tunisia.

“North Africa is a vast region covering 5 countries with diverse landscapes: from the sands of the Sahara, to the bustling cities of the interior, to the sleepy fishing villages of the Mediterranean. It is home to 112 million people. Over 99% of them follow Islam. Only 0.05% are protestant believers, many of whom face persecution from their families, communities, or governments. Small groups meet across the region, many struggling with a lack of leadership, discipleship, and trust.

Despite this God, is at work here in this un-reached part of the World, building His Kingdom in His perfect timing and manner.

We have lived in North Africa since 2019 and while we are on Home Assignment this summer, we would like to take the opportunity to share again our vision for our North African country.”

ACW will be meeting at 1 pm in the Parish Hall for its regular monthly meeting.

All are most welcome to participate. There's lots of great, thoughtful discussion and much warm fellowship. Study sheets are sent out, through email, prior to the Wednesday session.

You are invited to join us at St. Mark’s Anglican Church Hall on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm for a time of fellowship and discussion.

It is open to serving and retired members of the CAF.

This will be a safe place and time to meet and chat with alike others.

The Parish program for SENIORS HAVING FUN takes place every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm in the Parish Hall.  This weekly gathering is open to any Senior looking for a social outlet, especially in the colder and darker months of the year.

We have discussions, play cards or board games, occasionally have topical presentations for Seniors, and generally have fun together.

Light refreshments are served during our two hour program.

Bring a friend and come join us every Thursday, rain or shine.

Donations to the dessert table would be greatly appreciated.  Suggestions include: cakes, pies, tarts, squares, cookies, fruit salad, etc.  Plesse talk to Warden, Anne Patterson, if you are able to help.

St. Mark’s Special Projects Group are planning to sell home made pies on Saturday October 10 in the church hall as a Thanksgiving fundraiser.

We are encouraging each St. Mark’s family to please provide two home made pies, either frozen or fresh, baked or unbaked, in a 10” size foil container, placed in zip lock bag, with label indicating type of pie and instructions for baking if required.

We ask that pies be delivered to the church hall on Saturday October 10, between 9 to 10 am.  

 This is a new fundraiser idea for St. Mark's and we hope we can make it successful!!  Please speak to Heather Grimshaw or Jeannette Calmettes if you need more information.

As with any household, there are regular chores that need to be done here at St. Mark's to support the worship and life of this faith family.  One of these chores is "taking out the garbage".
