Pies Galore!!

The Tea pots are now empty, and the Special Projects Group is working towards its next fundraiser: the sale of PIES for Thanksgiving!

Homemade pies will be $20 each, frozen or fresh..

So, to support this event, we are asking that you consider making pies while the summer fruit is in season, freeze the pies, unbaked, and have them available for October.  We would be pleased if each St. Mark's family that is able could provide two pies for the fundraiser. Some suggestions for pies are apple, blueberry, rhubarb, strawberry, blackberry, raspberry, and many more!  Pies are all to be 9" size, 4" deep (Aluminum pie plates can be purchased from the dollar store, 3 for $3)  Pies should be placed in plastic zip lock bag, then frozen, with a label indicating the type of pie and instructions for baking. Lemon pies are also popular and would be sold fresh.  We will find freezer space if you do not have your own.

This is a new fundraiser idea for St. Mark's and we hope we can make it successful!!

Please speak to Jeannette Calmettes or Heather Grimshaw if you need more information.
